No direct damage for us. Storm hit overnight Friday and I slept through it. Downstairs unit in our house had a branch blown through one of their windows. And we had a big branch come down on our driveway that luckily missed our car.

We live in an older neighbourhood with lots of humongous old trees. Just a tree graveyard. Debris and detritus everywhere. And Fiona barely even hit Halifax directly.

My folks are in town and miraculously their airbnb has power so we emptied our freezer into theirs and went to recharge, shower, and use their kitchen lol.

Our ‘fridge’ is a cooler with ice packs. Wifey is using her office freezer/fridge too and bringing home daily rations more or less.

Hilariously my office is open but only for ‘critical personnel’ which I am not so I am at home reading legislation by headlamp.

We feed our cat and dog raw food too so we had a ton of meat in the freezer that we are trying to salvage.

So it has been a bit of a weekend.
