Re: Around the League - 2019 Off Season

Re: Around the League - 2019 Off Season

Yeah, it seems lopsided as Niskanen is definitely a better dman but I think this was all about moving out some salary for Washington

    Re: 2019 Free Agent Season

Why would anyone be shocked, look at the ridiculous money Skinner got.

The same Skinner who choked down the stretch with 2 goals in his lat 25 games.

A bit of talk that Lassi Thomson could be a sleeper pick.

Very good skater and a bomb for a shot

Re: Around the League - Playoffs 2019

I though Mb should have been all over him when he was available in Colorado.

It was right at the time that Plekanec was in full decline and DD was done.

Not often a good two way center is...

David Perron has come a long way to becoming a really sound hockey player.

He was really good these playoffs

Re: Rumours, Innuendos and Flat out B.S.: 2018-19 Edition

I like Byron and Shaw because they slot in very well as 3rd liners and can jump in the top six when need be.

But let's be honest if either of those guys can help you get a good LD you have to pull...

Re: Rumours, Innuendos and Flat out B.S.: 2018-19 Edition

There's absolutely nothing wrong with doing both.

If you have a competent scouting staff and good coaching within your organization you can still put emphasis on drafting and player development...

Re: Rumours, Innuendos and Flat out B.S.: 2018-19 Edition

Even if Mb is in win now mode he won’t trade his first rounders or best prospects and in the end isn’t that all that matters if we want to see him stay the course in progressing through prospects and...

Some say he would consider Habs and last week Darren Dreger says not a chance

Re: Around the League - Playoffs 2019

This is exactly the point I am making about going after and signing the right UFAs.

Petry was locked up long term at the age of 28 and his game was definitely suited for the speed game of the NHL....

Re: Around the League - Playoffs 2019

They way I see it, losing assets you still need via trade can’t be undone. To a certain extent bad contracts eventually expire, can be bought out or even traded.

Is the Alzner contract killing us...

He's not a PP QB, he's a weapon on the PP.

What we're missing is a genuine QB that will take charge on the PP in zone entries and dispensing the puck on the PP

Re: Rumours, Innuendos and Flat out B.S.: 2018-19 Edition

My feeling is he ends up with the Rangers.

I would give TB the edge but I don't see how they have the cash when they have to make room to get Point signed to a likely 8.5- 9 mil a year deal.
