Les Habitants Prospects Thread

Found this interesting....

NCAA players: As of 2004, 18-year-old players from NCAA Division I schools can be drafted and retain their college eligibility as long as they don't play for a pro team or hire an agent. In previous years, an 18-year-old who opted into the draft lost his NCAA eligibility.

people like leblanc, mccarron, tinordi signed and then went to play in the CHL because they could not go the college route

NCAA is hardcore

somebody can correct me if i am wrong but players can come to camp if they pay for it all themselves

and young players (think 16 year olds) will play in junior A instead of CHL to keep college eligibility

I think NCAA is better for their development than Canada junior. At least base on names you just mentioned, the experience of junior wasn't good for them.

Another assist for Cale Fleury, 2 in 2 games. One Czech Dman got a goal , the other an assist. 2 points for Froese and Agostino each, 5-2 Rockets win.

Rocket lose 2-1 despite 41-15 shot advantage (this organization needs snipers in a bad way). Evans scored his first pro goal.

Decent start to the college season for some of our prospects:

Ryan Poehling had three assists in two games, while Jordan Harris and Brett Stapley each had 1G, 2A in two games.

Cayden Primeau went 2-0 and stopped 50 of 51 shots.

Five prospects were invited to participate in the Canada-Russia series:

Cam Hillis & Nick Suzuki for the OHL; Joel Teasdale for the QMJHL; and Josh Brook & Scott Walford for the WHL.
