OT: The Official Toronto Raptors Thread

MicahAdams13

Pascal Siakam is 0-12 from 3 over the last four games including 0-10 from the corners.

Nearest defender:
0-2 feet: 0-0
2-4 feet: 0-0
4-6 feet: 0-1
6+ feet: 0-11

Warriors are leaving him wide open and he's not made them pay for it even a little bit.

Yeah, Siakam has buckled huge since game 1 tbh. 3 of the 4 games he's been pretty trash in.

Game 2: 5 of 18
Game 4: 6 of 14
Game 5: 6 of 15

He shot 55% from the field this season. We need him to be efficient around the paint.

It quickly got to the point last night where I was yelling "noooooooo" every time the passed to Siakam for a three-point attempt.

Have calmed down a bit since last night/this morning.

We are the better team. Confident we can finish it off Thursday night.

The Golden State Warriors got away with a crucial foul at the end of Game 5, according to the last-two-minute report the NBA released on Tuesday.

Trailing 106-103 with less than a minute left in the fourth quarter, Toronto Raptors center Marc Gasol rolled to the hoop for a layup. That's when Warriors big man DeMarcus Cousins should have been called for a shooting foul, the league has now determined.

Nurse felt the same way as he sat Siakam for the final 9 minutes.

Don't be surprised if Durant takes his player option now and comes back to the Warriors after this debacle. Would make sense to get healthy and get the big pay day a year later.

His elite days maybe over

Cousins looks like shit nowhere what he was . Elton Brand was done soon after .

Kobe was already 34 and his elite days were already over prior .

Reports of teams giving him the max regardless , he is probably missing all of next year

Yeah, he probably accepts the player option, comes back late season and cashes in next off season.

Warriors will be running a pretty rough rotation though unless they make some significant changes. Having KD's cap hit without KD's production, all year, is going to be kind of killer.

They were always going to max Klay. He'll be in somewhere around 35 million next year. Steph is at 40, KD's option is 31.5, Dray 18.5 & Iggy 17.2

That's just under 140 million on 3/5 of a good starting lineup for at least most of next regular season. They already have depth issues, and it's going to get worse next season. They're Steph being out 4-6 weeks with a sprained ankle away from missing the playoffs next year, without some significant changes.

More realtalk from shannon:

Two talking heads pretending to be doctors. I think it's reasonable to agree that KD should not have played but nobody has been able to clearly explain the decision making process:

1) what was the original injury?
2) did KD consult an independent doctor (like Kawhi)?
3) was there undue pressure for KD to play (other than his own self interest)?

Sure, anyone can offer reasonable guesses to the above but it's nothing more than speculation.
