GDT - Back from the break Leafs @ Isles | 7:00PM EST SNET

As much as I enjoyed the Olympics (and CBC did a very good job covering it, not just Olympics hockey, but overall Olympics as well) it felt so weird over the past 2 weeks not to have NHL hockey, and in particular, not to have Leafs hockey.

Kesssel and JVR coming back without a medal is a bit of a surprise, and Kulemin should have plenty of motivation to prove Russian hockey players are better what they displayed on that big stage, but in regardless, NHL hockey is BACK!

It's the stretch run with ~ 20 games left in the season. The new conference / playoff format sucks, as finishing 4th in the conference can still put us in 7th or 8th seed because of the stupid "top 3 teams from each division" rule.

The Leafs were red hot before the Olympics break, let's pick up right where we left off tonight ... and the Isles are a good team to start the post-Olympics run with, with Tavares out of their lineup.

Bolland had a setback so he definitely won't play in tonight's game. He's day-to-day and is probably a week or so away.

Go Leafs Go!!!

Jonathan Bernier in the visitor's starting goal for #leafs. JVR, Bolland both on ice for warmups in Long Island.

Mark Masters ‏@markhmasters 1h
Kulemin once again at centre in Leafs line rushes; appears Smith may draw back in tonight

Mark Masters ‏@markhmasters 1h
Bolland is skating this morning, but appears doubtful for tonight

Mark Masters ‏@markhmasters 52m
Carter Ashton, Colton Orr not on the ice; both appear to be out tonight

Terry Koshan ‏@koshtorontosun 36m
Smith likely for fourth-line duty tonight with McClement and McLaren. Kulemin centring Raymond and Bodie #Leafs

Great getting Smith back; hopefully once Bolland sits we get McLaren off; 4th line of McClement/Bodie/Smith isn't bad

MacLean will hopefully not be brought back after this season. He doesn't have a contract. Kyper and Mallard were razzing him about it the other day on hockey central. He got all huffy about it. With Sportsnet taking over NHL coverage next year, I would hope they would be getting rid of the riff raff like MacLean.

Team canada was nice to watch but I have missed Leaf hockey.... hopefully they start out on the right foot.
