So the Islanders got Eberle, Barzal and part of Beauvillier and in return the Oilers got... nothing.
Looks like some GM`s are looking to pay players til their late 20`s and bypassing those dreaded decline 30`s
He didn't get an 8 year deal
That's how you stay employed
I would think the Isles are the bigger surprise considering they lost Tavares which may have been a blessing to move on from a guy that never really brought this that team anywhere
The Hall for Larsson is as bad a deal you will ever see.
The league should have declined that trade simply based on the inequality of the deal.
An elite forward for a dman that would be the #5 on most NHL teams

I know, I just like the effect it gives.
Yes it was a bad deal . However Larsson played very well in year one and came with cap certainty for 4 years.
Saving cap dollars was part of the transaction . He has regressed which makes the deal terrible.
Was there any single expert or person in the entire world, aside from Chia who liked it? I mean, the fans didn't just hate it, they wanted heads chopped for it.
