Galchenyuk traded for Domi

Playing with small sample sizes is ridiculous. Besides, .5 ppg over 12 games is not "invisible" there Smeagol.

Not sure I consider 12-15 games as a small sample size considering thats nearly 1/3 of the season to date.

Also, for context purposes we are talking about how he has vanished lately. Thats why we are using the last 12 to 15 games as the example.

You said he's consistently getting "apples." I used facts to show you that he's not recently.

"Insert self serving name calling here."

Lol. 6 and a half-dozen are the same. Keep trying to paint 12 games as 1/3 of the season so far... which it isn’t. You just love to dig in when you’re wrong.

He’s still getting assists. Did you expect him to be a PPG player when he was acquired? 6 assists in 12 games is picking up apples.

You want real facts instead of your agenda driven sample size?

Domi:

39 points in 45 games or 0.87ppg
25 assists in 45 games or 0.55 assists per game.

Using your sample size he has 0.5 assists per game hence he’s “still getting apples” at close to the rate he was before. Nobody argued his goal scoring doesn’t need to improve but he’s already exceeded his past 2 seasons.

Just admit when you’re wrong or better yet, stop talking out your exhaust port.

He hasn’t vanished lately, he’s just not scoring, but he’s implicated and has been getting assists.

That’s the difference between him and Galchenyuk, when Galchenyuk isnt scoring he’s actually a liability out there.

He is agenda driven, for some reason he’s obssesed with an overated hockey player

2 apples for Chucky, so in 34 games he has 24 points with puts him at 0.7 ppg already. He needs 27 points in his final 38 games to stay at 0.7 ppg

Domi held off the scoresheet, down to 0.84 ppg.

Actually glaring difference is that one is a capable NHL center and one isn’t.

That huge factor gives the edge to the Habs in this deal.

We can debate numbers all day and we can see that they are close production wise but at the end of the day both organizations were hoping to have the player become a center and only one of the two has been playing center at a more than adequate level since day one.

Glaring difference in 5-on-5 vs PP production

With the habs PP being the absolute worst in the entire NHL, the worst in franchise history, a PP specialist may not the the worst thing to have right now.

Not saying I regret the trade, but those writing off chucky as a bust in Arizona while Domi was lighting it up may have been a tad premature.

Boy do they miss Markov on the PP. he made so many people look good over the years.

Yeah, MB hates Russians who perform on the PP.

Markov, Galchenyuk(-heritage), Radulov

And surprise surprise, the PP is the worst in franchise history right now. But that a topic for another thread

He’s not a bust but I firmly believe Domi is a better hockey player and a better competetitor, even in his goal drought Domi has found ways to contribute.

He’s what this PP is missing, not another permiter forward.

They don’t have a quarterback to control zone entries and set up the big shot from Weber

Domi does lots for his team even when he does not get a point. He i a great 2 way player. He is the better player

Why are you so annoyed that chucky is starting to produce?

I dont think anyone is, it was bound to happen.

Its just that certain people on this board seem to want to advertise it beacause all they really do here is be negative.

These people don’t like the GM and they want to make sure everyone knows that his moves are really not as good as people think.

MB has made his fair share of bad moves but like it or not the Domi trade is looking very good for the Habs.

You can poll all other GMs in this league and I can guarantee you the large majority would take Domi over Galchenyuk.
