Alexis Lafreniere
Brett Leason
Jack Studnicka (BOS)
Nick Suzuki (MTL)
Owen Tippett (FLA)
Joseph Veleno (DET)

9th-youngest player to make Team Canada at the world juniors.

He's likely going to be the 13th forward, will be interesting to see if he can work his way up the lineup.

Vilardi I think was going to be one of Canada’s too scorers in this tournament.

Him and Formenton are huge loses to this lineup

Sweden beat Russia 4-2 in pre-competition action last night.

Romanov had a goal for the Russians; doesn't look like Olofsson had any points for Sweden.

Here is Canada's projected lineup for tonight's pre-competition game against Switzerland:

Maxime Comtois - Cody Glass - Owen Tippett
Jaret Anderson-Dolan - Nick Suzuki - Alexis Lafreniere
Morgan Frost - Barrett Hayton - Jack Studnicka
Joe Veleno - Shane Bowers - MacKenzie Entwistle

Josh Brook - Noah Dobson
Markus Phillips - Evan Bouchard
Ty Smith - Ian Mitchell
Jared McIsaac

Michael DiPietro
Ian Scott

(Not playing: Brett Leason)

Canada beat Switzerland 5-3.

Good first period followed by a sleepy final forty. Glass and Hayton's lines were Canada's best.

Glass, Tippett, Comtois (2) and Studnicka with the goals.

USA vs. Russia tonight in pre-tournament action.

All of USA's returning players are sitting so no Poehling but Romanov is on Russia's top D pair.

Primeau is listed as the backup so not sure if he's playing or not.

Sounds like Suzuki might be moved to RW tomorrow night.

JAD would move to the middle and Lafreniere would play his natural left wing.

Probably, but Vilardi can only play in the offensive zone. He can't skate at all and makes his play anywhere else remarkably bad.

Only place that his absense will be noticed is on the powerplay, and even then, I don't think Team Canada should have much problem scoring.
