Weber out 5-6 months after knee surgery

The Montreal Canadiens announced on Thursday that defenseman Shea Weber will be out for an extended period of time after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery to repair a meniscal tear in his right knee. His recovery period is expected to be five to six months. The surgery was performed by orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Robert LaPrade in Vail, Colorado.

Not shocking. I think most expect that he won't play much next season and potentially even going forward.

Ankle surgery was on his left leg, knee surgery was on his right.

Being cleared to play (recovery time) and being ready to play are two completely different things. He will be coming off a complete calendar year of no hockey related activities.

He's probably toast.

So they put off foot surgery until April then checked the knee in June, brilliant medical team. Interesting Copernicus didnt mention that re team being better next yesr.
