2022-23 Canes Misc. Thread

.... and no mention of STM window to buy additional playoff strips to cover the ticket sharers like myself... Dang.
I did shoot my ticket rep an email asking about this (no reply yet). They definitely are specifically not making a point to talk about this, even the pricing sheet doesn't talk about additional strips anymore.

The playoff prices in my section went up by (per seat per round compared to last year):

$5 (+6.7%)
$6 (+6.4%)
$44 (+33.6%!!!)
$42 (+20%)

The email sent to the 11 game holders referenced their ability to buy additional tickets at the STM pre-sale. This is the last paragraph.

Beyond your 11-Game online purchase window, you will also have access to the STM Presale where you may purchase additional Round 1 tickets based on availability, before the General Public on-sale.

I see no such language in my Full STM email; like Bill, I have an email into my rep about the option for buying for additional strips.

Mine's even worse since they went ahead and based this year's playoff pricing off of next season's price structure for my area. Since we're transitioning to premium pricing in my area, this is effectively a double hit. Fun.

Mt rep did tell me that they'd be doing a select a seat right around the start of the playoffs, presumably to help out those of us in this scenario. Of course, no official word on that and for all I know he was talking out of his backside. Wouldn't be the first time.

On the topic of STMs being able to purchase additional strips, my ticket rep said:

Right now, we are only able to offer playoff strips up to the number of seats you have on your account. Based on the number of STMs we currently have signed up with us, I do not believe we will be able to offer additional playoff strips this season. We will have to see what the opt-in rate is first, but will know more about this in the coming weeks as we progress through the playoff seating process.

To be totally honest, I would be surprised if we reached the point of being able to offer additional playoff strips to Full STMs, but we will reach out to you at a later date if this becomes a possibility.

This doesn't surprise me. By the time all of the full STMs have claimed their strips and the partial STMs have grabbed the allotted playoff seats they are allowed to purchase I doubt there will be anything left. Partial plans don't claim a seat for every regular season game but they do for the playoffs. 3 partial 11 game holders with 2 seats each could, in theory, only take up 2 seats for the whole regular season if they all pick the same seats but come to different games. But for the playoffs they will claim 6 seats total for ALL the playoff games.

That changes next season when partial plan holders don't get seats for every playoff game. That should, in theory, free up more seats to be available come playoff time. But THIS season? Forget it! Some of those partial plan holders might find themselves having to downgrade their seats for this season's playoffs just to get the seats they are allotted to get.

We’re in Pure Hockey and the playoff prices are always set based on the full price for the section. My rep told me that for the accounts displaced by the elimination of discounted tickets, a separate select a seat will occur some time around April 1.

OK, at least that's two mentions of early April. Apparently they're also throwing full STMs with major increases into that select a seat as well.

One of my friends heard back from their rep on extra strips.

From our rep when asked about buying additional strips....

For now, playoff strips will be seat for seat. Once all of our full season members and our 22-game members have selected their strips, we will evaluate the inventory to see if we can offer additional strips.

I got a similar response from my rep...

I am happy to add you to my running list of accounts that are looking for additional seats. If we are able to sell additional strips, how many are you interested in? Obviously, this is not a guarantee of extra seats, but it will at least put you on my radar if/when that opportunity becomes available.

He is in fact and Oilers prospect. Do they owe Carolina any future considerations or anything? :0)

His team was upset by Colgate in the semi-finals of the ECAC tournament tonight in double OT.

CORNELL and Harvard are in a scoreless tie halfway through the third in the other semi-final as I type this.
