Habs News & Notes: Regular Season 2019-2020

No, me either. I guess we just can't produce players of this quality(?) in the system.
Asking a young player on ELC to sit in the press box for games on end, then all of a sudden expect them to fill in for an injury is not ideal - a vet is better suited for such a role. Frolic makes $750K...veteran Cup winning experience & salary were the key IMO

Taxi squad made it possible. I’m expecting all guys on that squad to be paid less than a mil. From would have to clear waivers though and might get picked up considering how cheap he signed.

The other divisions aren't worried about being able to play though. I'm curious how this plays out. I'm not expecting Quebec to put up much of a fight as they are basically treating COVID like America North but Ontario and BC may be more stringent on their requests. Not sure how hard Manitoba has been on this stuff.

to me it is mostly because the NHL is saying fuck the local rules around testing and quarantining

my guess is the only real places of concern for the NHL are BC and Manitoba.

Quebec is as you say. Ontario and Alberta (Ford and Kenney) bent over backwards for the NHL last time.
Manitoba and BC....who knows.

Yeah I didn't expect Alberta to put up much resistance either. I thought Ontario was harder on the lockdown though, not true?
