Les Habitants Prospects Thread

Nah, the fact that he's barely a PPG player in the easiest league in the CHL to score in is the main reason they're not signing him. He was one of those players they took a gamble on because he was the first overall pick in the QMJHL four years ago, but it never worked for him. He's one of those picks that I had no hope for, because while he was very talented, his knocks were character issues and underperformed relative to what his talent was.

Scoring is higher in the WHL lately.... Goals per game across the league is way up there.

Talent may not be as high in the Q, but its not the easiest league to score because so many teams have adopted the trap there.

That said, I wouldn't sign Archambault either.

WHLFromAbove: The Saskatoon Blades have traded the rights to Dalton Thrower to the Vancouver Giants for a conditional 2nd round bantam draft pick.

Giants supposed to be good next season?

The question I ask is....headcase?

and I doubt the Giants are supposed to be good...they were last this year.

SteveEwen: Dalton Thrower says "proud to be a Giant," but also says the Habs have told him they plan on him making their AHL team next year.

It's 20 years old or 4 years of juniors for a CHL player to be eligible. He just played his 4th year.

In a way that is a good thing (being able to play in the AHL) but also a bad thing as he did not have a good last season in the CHL.

Its the year of birth.... Thrower is a 1993 birthday, so he's AHL eligible if he makes the team.

If he doesn't, then he goes to the Giants.

Giants give up nothing to the Blades if he doesn't report.

Fact is though Vancouver will be much better than Saskatoon who will be in for a MAJOR rebuild next season, as they have traded all their draft picks and prospects to build the current team and are losing most of this current team.

I expect a young, not very talented Saskatoon team.
