Les Habitants Prospects Thread

yeah If I remember right, something like 10% of the prospects drafted in the 3rd round or deeper, end up having some sort of a NHL career.

1st or 2nd round is where it's at. Top 3, well, even more preferable of course.

That's the the beauty of this thread. Unless we're talking about a top 3 overall pick, like Chuckie, it's total guessing as to how these guys will turn out.

That's why I find the critics spouting the Habs are small by draft design so delusional.

Sebastian Collberg has signed a three-year entry-level contract and Magnus Nygren has signed a two-year entry-level contract.

Since Collberg is underage (under 20), he will be subject to the “Entry Level Slide Rule” where his deal does not begin unless he plays 9 NHL games next season. This is true whether he is in Hamilton or Europe.

Things are looking interesting with Kristo and Collberg coming into the fold we really didn't have my top six talent in Hamilton

J ai comme l impression que le petit gabarit de Archambault va faire que le CH va le laisser retourner au repêchage #onverra

Yeah, that was pretty obvious. I would have been very surprised if we had signed him.

So they're probably not signing any of Walsh, Pribyl or Archambault.

Nah, the fact that he's barely a PPG player in the easiest league in the CHL to score in is the main reason they're not signing him. He was one of those players they took a gamble on because he was the first overall pick in the QMJHL four years ago, but it never worked for him. He's one of those picks that I had no hope for, because while he was very talented, his knocks were character issues and underperformed relative to what his talent was.

What the org just realized now he's small?

They realized he sucked, first and foremost. He was drafted by previous management, so MB and his cohorts obviously made a different evaluation of him.

The fact that he's a midget and has a redundant skillset, only made the decision easier.

Tenute a goner. Posted it in the Bulldogs 2012-13 thread.

Maybe someone can start a 2013-14 thread for off season news. And maybe not, who cares.

That and the 50 contract maximum.
