I am assuming we are protecting 20 players and entire minor league system just as in the hockey pool? or just 20 players total?

i was working under the idea it was the entire farm as well.
I dont like the idea of having to potentially give up on a kid after only having him for a year

There's no question the whole farm will be kept....that's kinda the point behind having it. 101's asking if we have to keep the 19 positions we have (i.e. - all our starters) + minors, or any 19 regardless of position + minors, like we did for hockey last year.

it will be nice to get games going. it is so hard to make a trade right now, that should change once the season gets rolling and teams directions establish themselves

I had the same thought. Niese went 2 for 2 with a walk, RBI and a run. Don't think so though.
