OT: The News Thread

8 spots behind guadalajara, lol wtf.

I love GDL. Great city and the food is crazy good but its not Mexico City good.

now that i think of it, it's probably because mexico city gets way more shit american tourists than those other latin cities, and they probably don't rate the real mexican food well because they expect tex-mex.

Yeah the list is based off average people reviews, not the aggregate Michelin star chef opinions.

And everyone loves Italian food. Everyone.

I have 0 qualms with Italy being well represented in a top 100 list. But 10 of the top 23 is lol.

local italian food is such a cheat code tbh. everything that grows there tastes fucking delicious raw.

Jesus christ Buffalo is on the list and Toronto isn't. Because I assume, deep fried chicken wings are a regional delicacy from Buffalo and Toronto just steals all of the delicious food from the best places in the world and makes it their own.

Clown shoes.

Fwiw....Mexican cities that should be on a top 100 list and the order they should be in:

- Oaxaca: This isn't even debated inside of Mexico, it's the goat of Mexican food. But it's not a common tourist destination, so yeah.
- Mexico City
- Puebla/Guadalajara: Interchangeable at 3/4

Those 4 are non negotiable and should all be in the top 30-35.

- Mazatlan: Sinaloan seafood dishes are life changing
- Monterrey
- Veracruz

An argument could be made for Hermosillo as well.

Also....Montreal higher than Toronto (and Toronto not being on the list) is a 1990's take.

i mean how many cheezy nachos can one you have, really?

Good point.

On the plus side, I don't need to go to Italy because I went to an East Side Mario's once a bunch of years ago and there's no way they're beating that in Italy, so yeah.
