OT: The Toronto Blue Jays

First time we've beaten the Rays in 16 series. damn I hate that team.

nice to see Joey step up and carry the team. that's the kind of performance that can really lift the rest of the team up.

especially nice to see him shorten up and go the other way through the shift for the game winning rbi, instead of trying to hit another HR.

#Jays win via Jose Bautista walk off single. Jose subsequently beaten to death by a joy filled berserk victory rampage from Brett Lawrie.

Look - I get that Lawrie likely has some issues that cause his behavior, but I was saying to myself that if he hurt Bautista during that idiotic rampage I was going to run down to the dome and kick the s.hit out of him myself. If Joey were to get hurt, you can really flush this season down the crapper.

I am fairly certain that Lind actually had to brush Lawrie away from Bautista to try to avoid something from potentially going wrong. Bautista is a 32 year old baseball player. They tend to be fragile.

Lawrie is an uncoachable moron. Baseball was the wrong choice for him. He should learn how to skate and become a 3rd line power forward type.

lawrie was late on 3 identical up and in 91mph fastballs during that at bat (first two pitches and the last one).

big fat juicy fastballs up and in, in the zone. those should be line drives.

his timing is so ridiculously off

He's had problems catching up to mid range fastballs all season. His bat is very slow.

his swing isn't slow at all.

his reaction is slow because he doesn't stop moving his hands when he loads up his swing.

Lawrie needs some AB's in AAA....his stick is lost

JPA needs the **** out right now....a power hitter with a 701 OPS and pis poor defense?...oh and a shit attitude?....screw this guy.

Free Thole, i'd much rather his 680 OPS with better on base, attitude, and defense

Movements create and reduce bat speed. His bat is not fast at all through the hitting zone right now. Saying his has a "slow bat" is a communications term to make it easier on the reader.

JPA is another guy that tends to get a free ride from fans. He has a "cool" factor that helps him with the influx of new fans this team has.

Lawire and JPA have been big disappointments this season.

Our offence is basically Bautista, Melky (without power), EE and a sprinkle of Lind and Rasmus.

Take away JPA's long ball and he's not a major leaguer....he sucks balls at every aspect of the game....**** him.....damit im tempted to make a ill mannered Gary Carter reference.

Let's take a look at May numbers:

Melky - .338/.359/.859
Bautista - .365/.488/1.107
EE - .268/.349/.786
Lind - .271/.357/.899
JPA - .180/.194/.473
Lawrie - .157/.224/.553
Rasmus - .230/.309/.719
Boni -.225/.244/.569
Kawasaki - .231/.367/.649

Fairly obvious to see where the problems are. Our 5,6,7 and 8 hitters just don't get on base.

Ithink you meant to say "our 5678 hitters haven't got on base in may".
