Habs News & Notes: 2013-14 Season

LavoieRenaud: No bone fracture for George Parros. He had a CT Scan and first indications are negatives. So as of right now it's a concussion.
 
Lets hope he doesn't miss many games. I like his heart. He's the guy we all thought BGL would be. And Parros' 70's porn star mustache.....classic!
 
Announcement from the team.

CanadiensMTL: Medical update on George Parros: he was released from the hospital, suffered a concussion, will be out indefinitely.
 
Concussion could be a week, could be a career. Hopefully he can get back to punching things without too much delay.
 
Yeah, I was pretty sure he broke his jaw when he hit the ice, looked like a lot of swelling and a nasty gash when they were wheeling him off. Glad to hear that he's okay, the next week or so will be big for him. Time to see how bad his PCS symptoms are, as long as he doesn't have to spend much time in a dark room, he'll probably be back at some point this season.

LOL.

I was a goalie for couple years in my minor hockey career. Always wanted to be a goalie. I got knocked out by a slapshot from the hashmarks. I just remember being on my back and hearing a loud ding like a high pitched bell.

I finished the game and probably shouldn't have.
 
I always broke my wrist in my first year of Pee Wee. I was a forward then. I made a pass and tried to get out of the way of a hit. I came off in tears. I was crying on the bench. My dad came over and told me to get back out there. So I did and scored with one hand (their goalie was awful). After the game my mom took me to the hospital. I had a clean break. Boy was my mom pissed at my dad. My wrist has never healed and I will need to have it repaired at some point.

Ahhh good ol minor hockey stories.

Yeah, he actually had a couple of chances close in.

But even if he does come back I hope he still has the will to keep doing this
