Habs News & Notes: 2013-14 Season

I always broke my wrist in my first year of Pee Wee. I was a forward then. I made a pass and tried to get out of the way of a hit. I came off in tears. I was crying on the bench. My dad came over and told me to get back out there. So I did and scored with one hand (their goalie was awful). After the game my mom took me to the hospital. I had a clean break. Boy was my mom pissed at my dad. My wrist has never healed and I will need to have it repaired at some point.

Ahhh good ol minor hockey stories.

Did they stay married?

We never know, nothing is broken which is good.

He could be back in two weeks.

As I mentioned in another thread the question has more to do with him wanting to do the job with the same eagerness he showed last night?

We brought in 2 big guys that can scrap and they are both injured. Figures. It was actually nice to see use win pretty much all of the fights

As I wrote in another thread, we seem destined to not have enforcers on our team.

As Dave Stubbs said, how come that didn't translate into scoring & winning, because according to the gurus winning fights = guaranteed win...

that is a silly comment by Stubbs. No one has ever claimed you automatically win the game if you win the fights but that being pounded around like has happened to us in the past does hinder one's ability to win the game.

Yeah that's what i was thinking yesterday, each fight was won last night, but even better Prust didn't even fight once

Also, noticed that guys like Gallagher, Subban and Pleks were not harrassed as much....

If anything the game last night proved to me that we indeed needed a Parros. I wasn't convinced about it when we signed him. He countered Orr, which enabled Moen, Prust and Tinordi to take on guys at their own level without having Orr interfering.

Exactly, Orr had his hands full with Parros and dudnt bother other guys that had as objectives hockey roles

Absolutely. I actually liked watching him play hockey as well.

I was happy for Prust when Moen came in to fight Fraser after Fraser knocked Prust down. To think the first 4 fights in the game didn't involve Prust would have broken the Las Vegas casinos.
