Subban is rumored on the trade block. Read it several times on several sites, Who knows

I'm on the Preds board, I follow the Preds in their local media, nobody knew what the hell anyone was talking about with this PK trade nonsense, and seeing as those journalists are on the ball when it comes to preds rumors,(they caught the Johansen one, they caught the Girard turris one,) that says to me that this is nonsense.

Try again.

Layman said to Poile and Laviolette of Subban that “someone in Canada basically said he’s on the trading block,” and Laviolette interrupted.
Layman’s question was inspired by comments from David Pagnotta over the weekend on TSN Radio 690 in Montreal. Pagnotta, editor in chief of The Fourth Period, dubbed as “hockey’s lifestyle magazine,” was talking about various trade possibilities this summer and mentioned Subban’s name. He was pressed and elaborated.

“There have been discussions throughout the later part of the season that he was available,” Pagnotta said, without specifying who did the discussing. “Now, it would have taken certainly a significant type of a deal to do it, just like it was with moving him to Nashville for Shea Weber. But there were teams that called and David Poile listened and he’s going continue to listen, from what I’ve been told. He’s going to continue to listen now.

“As of now, there’s nothing close. They just ended their season. But those talks will continue, in and around June, as we get closer to the draft. There’s no guarantee. One thing I can tell you is P.K. is not finishing his career in Nashville. He’ll be traded from the Predators at some point. And it’s possible that it happens this summer. Some people are going to talk about the way he is in the room and the similar situation that happened in Montreal, with regard to some guys liking him, some guys not. Management liking him, some guys not. It’s effectively the exact same situation in Nashville. So whether something will happen this summer, I don’t know.”

Montreal generated Rumor, surprise surprise.

If you want a clue about how toxic montreal is, they more or less make shit up about players traded away from the Canadiens years later because they are still salty.

Who in Montreal said that?

Dave Pagnotta is from Toronto and works out of Toronto.

Headcases in Montreal, fine everywhere else. The only thing in common is the Montreal Canadiens, maybe the problem lies there?
It’s not only the Habs it’s the Mtl market,it’s hockey 24/7 365, nothing else matters, media including bloggers are giving the customer what they want.

As Krusty said a long time ago, the biggest industry in Mtl is hockey.

I imagine Toronto avoids this because of the other big league teams in town, the Raps and the Jays.

Hockey coverage is just as big in Toronto, but everything is more personalized in Montreal. Its more in the territory of tabloid media in Montreal.

When things were going badly in Toronto it was "tabloidish" too.

Let's not kid ourselves big markets all go through this when the going gets rough....happens to the Cowboys, Patriots, Yankees, red sox, Leafs and of course Montreal.

Being a little naïve to think Montreal is the worse of the worse when it comes to negative media presence or "tabloid" like reporting during rough stretches

Nothing compares to Montreal . You may have a shit show in Dallas over lets say a player or their idiot coach costing them a game .

But it doesnt last 365 days a year . You arent concerned about the media blasting the regime over a coach who doesnt speak " the Dallas way "

Montreal has one sport and its 365 / 24 / 7 with the media hounding , speculating , insulting etc...

New York Post maybe compares, but the sauciness of the French Canadian media is right at the top. You almost have to go to Europe for a comparison.

Really, didn't a radio host in Boston insult Tom Brady's daughter?

Didn't Toronto media spend about three weeks after the Leafs elimination spreading rumors that Mathews and Babcock "hate" each other?

Giancarlo Stanton who was the Yankees big off season prize was getting booed by his own home town crowd after a horrendous first week as a Yankee.

When Tony Romo was in his last couple of years in Dallas his perosnel life with Jessica Simpson made more headlines than the team

Please....don't make me believe Montreal is the worse of the worse

Lots of stories coming out now about him and his father. Not listening to the coaches and only taking advise from good ole Dad. That will not go over with any team very well. See ya later headcase

Stop coming up with excuses for Bergiven. This excuse was used in the past. Things are just being recycled now.

MB is the problem and he's the one that needs to be fired.

You know what's pathetic. How bad this team is, and how we have basically no top 50 prospect. Other teams have 2-3 guys they can build around already + 2-3 high end prospects + this coming draft. He screwed this team every which way, and it's mind boggling he wasn't fired years ago.

Is Romo still getting abused ? The PK trade is still being talked about .

27 has been abused for 3 years by the media , his coach , GM , radio hosts , and some bartender at Trois Brasseurs .

There is no way Stanton , Romo , etc.... put up with this shit 365 /24 / 7

I guess you missed the Phil Kessel loves hotdogs narrative.
