Brad Meyer had a terrible game. Almost as bad as Petry. That was textbook cross checking. The Kings really did get away with a ton. This game was called like a playoff game would be called. It shows us that this small team couldn’t compete even if they did squeak in the playoffs. Better off to tank.

Where did I say that I don’t like him? I would, however like to see more north-south play from him, and less dangling. There’s a very skilled player on my son’s team who does the same thing and it drives everyone (teammates, coaches and parents) nuts.

IMO Drouin’s also having difficulty adjusting to the demands of the marketplace - like a hitter in baseball gripping their bat too tight trying to hit the impossible 5-run homer...there’s some of that “trying to do too much” in Drouin’s game at present.

There’s a lot of difference between doing your thing in TBay vs Mtl for a hockey player...especially for a local boy

The pressure to produce in his home city is getting to him . But there is no excuse for his lazy ass plays where he is cheating or a lack of compete

You can get away with it if your putting up points and the team is winning .

He should be scoring easily 25 with his skill set .

The thing is that Drouin is a PP producer, I’m not convinced he’ll ever be an offensive force 5 on 5

If the PP is shit Drouin will not have numbers
 
I enjoyed the game, so far i like watching this team play.. yes there were some dumb mistakes and weak moments, but all and all i enjoyed the game... i didn't think that would be so at the beginning of the season. cheers

if he went three games during the season without a point, no one would care nor notice. Why does it matter if he doesn't score in the first three games?

Comparing an established superstar, who’s dominated at every level including the world stage & carried a hapless franchise for years vs a talent everyone hopes will develop is in no way apples to apples.
