In all fairness, Lehkonen had his breakthrough season the year we traded him. Most of his time in Montreal he was underwhelming but I’m glad he found his groove. He was always a hard worker, and now he rediscovered his offense. Still don’t love the trade, but I appreciate the player.

It’d be fine, he wouldn’t come here as a savior, so the expectations wouldn’t be overwhelming. And Montreal does have an appreciation for talent and some players are energized by it. Again low risk, but I wouldn’t offer the moon for him.

Yep, but the overall risk is low (2 years), and in the odd chance that he’s rejuvenated in a new environment, the reward could be massive.
