2017 NHL Entry Draft

I see another Strome too. It's usually the youngest that sucks.

Matt's a first rounder on merit IMO. Not as high as his brothers were taken.

He's no Jarred Staal (of course jarred was the 4th brother, not third).

Pettersson has been a guy that's intrigued me all year and I keep seeing him steadily climb. Too bad he's way out of the Leafs range.

I just looked at a mock draft and in said draft, with the 25th selection, Montreal picks Kole Lind (#18 in the list GGpX posted above). This same mock draft has Colorado picking Nico Hischier #1 and Nolan Patrick going #2 to Vancouver.

I'll include the link to this mock draft, but it gets updated every so often (and right now it is based on the final regular season standings), so what I have listed in this post might change.

Mock Draft

I haven't paid attention at all to prospects (and hockey in general, really) this year, but the players I'd want...

Shane Bowers
Alexei Lipanov
Maxime Comptois
Josh Norris (maybe)

I'd also have zero issue with trading this pick for pick(s) for next year's draft either.

If we trade back into the second, my desired picks (although not necessarily in the second or early in the second...):

Alex Formenton
Pierre-Olivier Joseph
Mario Ferraro
Alexandre Texier
Artyom Manukyan
Adam Ahman

Hey Ben. How high are you on Tippett. I have a friend who watches him on a fairly regular basis and thinks his going to be very good at the NHL level.
