I dont mind when its an instantaneous thing between the two involved players. But when its one guy chasing the other looking for a fight, or when other teammates get involved it becomes a circus. I wouldnt have minded Pateryn taking a few jabs at Shaw if he wasnt knocked out.

You push me , I push you back now, that mentally will never leave the game of hockey. Players were always taught not to back down. Its an emotional game. I dont mind two players hammering each other until they decide to fight or rejoin the play. But if they are chasing each other all over the ice or so called enforcers decide to finish the commotion with a fight or a dirty check, then thats not hockey. Players shouldn't retaliate, but they do and they always will, its up to the refs to enforce it.
