Habs acquire Hunter Shinkaruk

Yes.

Not sure what happened with Shinkaruk. Didn't have that bad a 2nd season in the AHL (led the team in goals when he was dealt). Kind of went downhill after that (pretty sure though he suffered a major injury during this period).
 
At first when I saw the name, I thought it said Chingachkook but then I realized he and his people died off in the 1700s.
 
nah he would only claim that if the player turned out good

Bunch of haters here.

I wanted them to get Shinkaruk when he was still there but I believe he was already selected when our pick came around.
 
That 2013 draft was an offensive wasteland after the first few picks.

Just before Mac and Hunter, the Caps drafted Andre Burakovsky. He has 50 career goals in 3.5 yrs. Not great but his 50 goals are 5th best among that draft class.

Hell, Arturi Lehknonen's 30 goals places him 17th.
