OT: American Politics

so you're not actually accusing her of some evil wrongdoing? just a general sense of imprpriety?

That's always been the case smartass.

I'm just tired of the Clinton's getting away with bloody murder. They act like they're above the law and they pretty much are with all their connections.

So all this hue and cry about wanting her indicted isn't even actually over something really bad she did?

This is a problem everywhere in the world, and USA is no exception. The rich always get away with murder..often literally.

I'm still waiting for Deckie and JCY and Habsy to explain why it's okay to keep wasting taxpayer money starting investigations on Benghazi when it's clear to everybody it's being done for purely partisan reasons, they have admitted it's for partisan reasons, and the family of the deceased knows it's for partisan reasons.

Pointing this out and dismissing this garbage makes me biased? Of course when somebody dies in an incident like this, there's going to be an investigation. But the first 300 investigations got the job done, I think. We have been beyond that point now for a long time. I am biased by the facts.

"Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right?" McCarthy had said. "But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping. Why? Because she's untrustable. But no one would have known any of that had happened had we not fought."

Rep. Richard Hanna, R-New York, said Wednesday on New York's' WIBX 950, "Sometimes the biggest sin you can commit in D.C. is to tell the truth."
"This may not be politically correct, but I think that there was a big part of this investigation that was designed to go after people and an individual, Hillary Clinton," said Hanna

After years of congressional investigations, do you feel that your brother’s death has been politicized in Washington?

Yes! Definitely politicized. Every report I read that mentions him specifically has a political bent, an accusatory bent. One point that seems to be brought up again and again is the accusation that the attack was a response to the video. I could understand why that conclusion would be made, because it was right after the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Egypt. But, frankly, it doesn’t matter that that was the thinking, that night, about why the attack occurred. It’s irrelevant to bring that up again and again. It is done purely for political reasons.

I'm just commenting about the general tone of this thread, I can't pretend to give a flying **** about Benghazi. You guys are all horribly partisan. I generally lean left pretty hard, but anyone pretending the Clintons aren't corrupt as shit because they are on their "team" is a hypocrite.

Huh? What do I have to do with anything? I've made hardly any comments on this entire thread. It's an absolute cesspool of bias and emotional argumentative reasoning.

Damn. That was as comprehensive a beat-down on this board as I think we've ever witnessed. I don't think zeke will be able to sit down for a month after a pounding that thorough.

This was your response to Habsy posting a large amount of faux outrage about Benghazi, and people posting "propaganda articles from progressive rags" like the New Yorker and CNN.

I know, all I'm saying is that these Benghazi investigations are bullshit partisan sideshow theater, and it's kind of a joke to see Habsy still going on and on about it. IMO Habsy should direct his outrage towards the really terrible things happening in this world, like genocide, illegal wars, and which server people store their emails on.

what does "corrupt as shit" mean here, exactly?

are they unusually corrupt for politicians?

is there something criminal or sinister or treasonous that you are trying to accuse them of covering up?

what kind of corruption are you accusing of them, exactly?

are are you just falling for a massive propaganda effort from the gop over the last 5yrs to try and win this election by undermining hillary's trustworthiness? how corrupt did you think she was, say, 5yrs ago?

"both sides" is an utterly ridiculous way to frame this fake scandal.

You're so hyper defensive.....over nothing.

The article lays out precisely how absurd and hyper politicized the entire "scandal" was....while also objectively pointing out some of the miscalculations made by the left.

You're just jumping to the erronious conclusion that its blasting both sides an equal amount.....which it doesnt. It simply holds people accountable on both sides, for various mistakes.

Actually read the article, instead of just kicking out a knee-jerk response, without even having read it.

I will concede Washington is a farcical joke rife with corruption, scandal and partisanship.

Clinton and Trump are no different than the past in varying degrees. I, and obviously millions of others, would like that to change.

It was a good article. No one is suggesting that the Obama Administration didnt make any mistakes, in fact it's probably impossible not to for any administration because it takes time to determine exactly what happened, but people are demanding answers in real time these days. So some things get mis-stated or misconstrued.

Fact remains that this was, according to the article, the NINTH Benghazi investigation, really didn't introduce anything new or relevant, and clearly seems to have been a waste of time and money that served only one purpose - to be able to once again say the words "clinton" and "Benghazi" together in the same sentence on Fox News.

Can't wait for the 10th inquiry, where I'm sure they'll really get to the bottom of this!!
