Star Wars is overrated and overdone. I liked it when I was a kid. As an adult, at best I am apathetic. Just a cash machine at this point.

It was definitely revolutionary and a big deal when the first three came out. But since then? Just chasing benjamins.

Last nights 1st episode of this seasons of X Files was pretty good. In particular, the opening 5-10 minutes.

But if you didn't get into this thing as a kid, I think it's tough to start to like it as an adult.

The thrill of a 7 year old finding out in the early 80's that Darth is Luke's father isn't quite the same for a 20 year old in the late 90's after so much better shit has come since then. And now, whatever the franchise has done since then has really been subpar junk for the most part.

I never watched any Star Wars until I was like 25 and I absolutely love it.

Try watching it through the eyes of your kid, it's so worth it.
 
not sure i have ever actually watched the original star wars in one sitting

they are just not very good

Luke is just way too corny
