Ya it's actually becoming weird. No one is talking about him because he's a good third liner and people don't talk about good third liners. Meanwhile Babcock can't give an interview without mentioning him.
 
I mean, I do think Hyman has played well. He looks to be a particularly good fit with JT & Mitch, and tonight was the best game he's played so far.

But even if I was Hyman, I think at this point I'd be asking Babcock to dial it back a bit.
 
Gotta say... How good is Matthews, Marner, And GOD Tavares? How good is Taveres peeps?

I have always loved. Morgan Rielly. The guy is just so improving every year good;.

This is not a great team till we fire Babcock. But its a really good team when we fire him.

Yes, I'm sure Mitch ****ing Marner and John ****ing Tavares would struggle if Hyman wasn't on their wing. Two guys who put up a combined ~150 points last year, without Hyman.

I get that Babcock wants to jedi mind **** everyone on the team into playing with the type of effort level Hyman shows, but this is officially ridiculous.
 
I have often wondered if John Tavares could hack it without riding Zach Hyman's coattails. We'll probably never know.

Last year Babcock was trying to tell us Hyman was the puck retriever on the Matthews line and that's why it worked.

of course this was objectively and demonstrably false.

Actually, Hyman was really good tonight and that line looks perfect.

Matty, Marleau, and Kapanen were awesome too.

Remember when Tavares wasn’t elite and didn’t deserve elite dolars? Yeah, me neither.

Leivo is such shit. Can’t hit the net, can’t skate, always making blind passes to no one. He’s killing Kadri. I can’t wait till they get rid of this loser.

And so glad we made that brilliant move of letting McEl go to deliver the backup job on a platter to a guy who hasn’t shown in any way that he belongs in this league.
 
All this talk about hyman-wonder if he’s trade bait when willy returns. Sliding Willy on the Tavares line and keeping kappy with Matthews would be ridiculous
