If he does not start the season I feel like fan sentiment is against him, but if we flat out tell him sign or sit the season, is that a bridge burner?

My favourite was the guy who thought that it was critical for us to dump the last year of Nathan Horton's contract, and that we'd need to toss in Nylander as a sweetener to do it.

Jealousy is a hell of a thing.

I'd be jealous too if I was in their position. Hard to blame them. They have to watch a team full of electric superstars while they chug along mediocrity. At that point you have to grasp at anything to devalue how promising they are.

I dunno if it's jealousy so much as a lack of understanding of the ins and outs of the salary cap and the CBA. Because the stuff said about other teams is just as ridiculous.

Combination maybe? I don't know. LOF is kind of like that about the habs. He has some hilariously irrational takes out of hatred for them. I think it's just a thing for fans of rival teams. All ration or reason goes out the window when they discuss each other. I feel like this forum doesn't apply though for the most part since we're not six year olds that hate players because they wear particular colours.
