Hey Nerds: Blockchain

That's general where the dislike comes from, it's not really about losing to another team. Usually it's the friend(s) that are opposing fans that are just over-the-top.

I'm sure you realize that this isn't exclusive to the Habs nor Hockey. I have some pretty obnoxious Dolphin fan friends that have no reason to be so when their perfect season was almost 50 years ago.

Also have some Leaf fan friends that can be dumb too.

Nobody takes the cake like my daughters current BF, he's a Bruins fan. It's been difficult for me to stay quiet.
Every team has their fair share of zealots. This friend of mine is just the worst I've ever come across personally. I like him in all other regards, but once the hockey talk starts, I get an instant migraine. It's literally too much to handle.

Hmmm... I see what's you holding back from getting the good friends you richly deserve.
All my friends are busy dealing with their kids and schools and spouses and jobs, and we're all pretty mindful and careful of not needing to socialize at the cost of getting someone sick. So friends is an outdated concept now. They're just people I know, and one day may get to see again.

I've recently found out that a good portion of my previous friends are anti lockdown/anti mask/covid is a hoax/vaccines are the devil now that we're on a "my freedom is being lost kick" people. Pretty fucking good validation for cutting them out of my life several years ago.

It also kinda concerned me because I considered them as pretty normal folks. This type of mentality is a lot more common than I cared to acknowledge, even in Toronto.

Is the vaccine already priced in?

I think it will pop bigly tomorrow — great CEO, amazing network of accommodations, sweet business model.

investors will look past Covid... they’ve been waiting for this one for a long time

You buying?

I'd like to but it will certainly move up too much..and I'm not really one to chase something. So, to answer your question, I'm not buying tomorrow but I'd love to get some when/if it eventually corrects. The post IPO 'disappointment phase' has been very good to me.

That's how I snapped up PSNL, FSLY, WORK etc....hell even FB back in the day was a good get after it's first post IPO earnings report

On Dec 1st, people expected the ipo to be price around $50, already way higher

I think it was a great business pre-virus, and probably a great business post-vaccine. But damn, it's another one that I personally have never used and kinda have no interest in using. Primarily because long before there was a covid, I was already a germophobe and wouldn't trust average joe homeowners to properly clean their places before I arrive. So I've always considered myself a hotel lifer on travels. But I'm in the small minority on this thing, I believe, so it's likely highly investable. My damn rules though...

They are really good at what they do but it’s a horrible business with not much of a moat and lots of competition.

so not interested

So apparently bevvies have plateaued at 1.5% of all sales in Canada the last few months which is not all that different than the US at 1%. Still not quite a slam dunk with consumers. Prices still kinda stink and being unable to buy 6, 12, 24 packs I think hurts a bit too.

I decided to buy a couple to sample... Some Hexo/Molson bevvies because those are apparently better. I'm not doing it for pleasure of course. This is purely for investigative purposes. I will compare them with tinleys one day.

If the 1.5% market share holds and if Tinley becomes the leader in bevvies, they could maybe pull in 15+ milly per year in a mature Canadian market. And that's just one of several irons in the fire that they have. Roughly a 50 Milly (usd) market cap so they're kinda cheap. Canopy will sorta need these bevvies to be way bigger than that though.
