Playoffs 2023: Make the Call

I'm basing any hopes on how bad Tampa has looked for a decently large sample size.

that's all I got.

Tampa looking bad is of no comfort to me when this team has previously lost playoff series to Montreal and the Foligno-led Columbus Blue Jackets.

I watched ~20 leaf games this year and they only lost 3 times when I did. I'm going full BS playoff superstition and saying I'm watching the series, it'll happen folks.

When doing these, it's tough sometimes to separate who I think will win from who I want to win (like in the Boston Florida series, where I want Florida but have to say Boston)...

I’d like to win the first two. Did we do that in any prior series? I think that’s going to be important here. Get a comfortable lead in place, ease up and play your game and knock them out. Going 1-1 into TB is something none of us needs to experience.

I’m reasonably confident in the Leafs. They are a flat out better team than Tampa and the only way they lose is if their goaltending Freddie’s or Vasilevsky goes god mode and Tampa might need both

Caveat is Samsonov remains healthy.

Woll might give the leafs as good of a chance to win. Would say caveat is Murray remains unhealthy to play.
