Which would also be where he was if he was in charge of the defensemen, which he is.It's not a guess to me. Robidas is the one in charge of it behind the bench. Kind of why he stands at the defensive end.

Roger Grillo works w MSL to establish Xs & Os - Marty made that clear in preseasonHe is, he's not a player development coach, he's an assistant coach.
I don't think Slaf deserves a "bad." I think he improved his overall game. He's even more physical and he's even blocking shots a bit. Hopefully next year he gets started a lot earlier in the season. He's definitely been a slow starter every season so far.I was judging this year based on the development of key players.
Suzuki. Great.
Hutson. Amazing.
Caufield. Good.
Dach. Bad.
Slaf. Bad.
Guthle. Good.
Next year we can add Demidov and Reinbacher to the list.
Year after that we add fowler and Hage
Dach. Bad. Oy
Slaf. Bad. But there are glimmers…![]()

I have big hopes for Slaf next season.Bad vibes with Dach.
Agree about Slaf, but he stepped up on Tuesday, I just dunno if that was random. He can be a force.
Not according to Arpon and Marinaro. Robidas has D coverage with Grillo.Roger Grillo works w MSL to establish Xs & Os - Marty made that clear in preseason
Always looking to improve process. It's my default professional driver. No point blaming anyone. A bottom 10 team just made the playoffs.
I dunt think Slaf was bad but stagnant.I was judging this year based on the development of key players.

Who play in the offensive zone? Oh OK.Which would also be where he was if he was in charge of the defensemen, which he is.
Yep. That's bad.I dunt think Slaf was bad but stagnant.
Since you added to your post, what coherent process do you have to validate yours? Seem to be debating in the ether here. I'm going to ask Arpon. Seriously.Frankly, you are excessively overconfident in your ability to separate coaching issues from player talent and execution issues.
I’m not sure if you have a coherent process or ability to make that distinction
If the stagnation wasn't at 50 I would agree. I put him at meh but to each their own.Yep. That's bad.
I'm rating development. Him not taking a big step this year was a bad thing.

He always selects me when he does Q &A
That also allows for the maturing of coaching so it taints it. You can choose to be patient, which is often the right move, but for the sake of this discussion it changes the variables both on the ice and off.I believe that sometimes the best position is remaining agnostic. I’m wiling to be patient until the Habs roster fills out and I have more evidence before weighing in with the certitude you have now
No thanks to experienced coaches.I agree with Habsy on this…
We have too many inexperienced coaches behind the bench….yes, even after 3 years i still consider MSL are an inexperienced coach (he hasn’t been playoff tested yet)
