So Auston and Mitch are getting insane d usage against a very good top line, and have positive xgf and 7 points points in 2 games.

This iteration of the Sens is particularly annoying. Not worth the energy getting actually mad at them, but annoying? 🙄Need their noses properly bloodied so they'll legitimately have something to mewl about.

I hope they somehow have been injected with a strong dose of killer instinct 'cause that's what needs to be applied now.

With the blowout gm1 it's hard to tell exactly how he's going to use them in competitive games.

well, not THAT hard tbh.... we could just look at last night only:

Matthews 31.0toi%, +11.5dzs%
Tavares 28.7toi%, -9.1dzs%
Domi 23.1toi%, -22.2dzs%
Laughton 19.8toi%, +5.3dzs%

of course doing that against the Sens doesn't mean he'd do that against the Panthers.

But obviously we've never seen Matthews used like this as the actual matchup defensive C, even though he's obviously a defensive monster.

The Kampf usage in 2022 was insane obviously, but almost as weird was last year choosing to use Tavares in defensive usage instead of Matthews. Though i guess maybe Matthews' mystery injury played into that.
