Maybe so but . . . does Keith Pelley inspire much, if any, confidence that he is capable of hiring the right people to run a hockey team? Chayka was also a bad GM in Arizona.

I agree with you. It may be a sound hire, for the reasons you mention, and goes against the old boys club (which is a positive note).

Of course I want it to fail miserably anyway, because its the Leafs.

The fact that Leafs actually allowed Simmons to ask a question at the presser, given what he's been writing about Chayka in the last week, is astounding to me. It would seem obvious that he would just continue along the same path with his questions at the presser.

I agree Pelley inspires zero confidence. He looks like the smarmy school prinicpal I wish I never had
