I don’t see any other goalies being moved.

Hildy has to stay in the NHL and you know they want to get Akhty some time too so Stolarz' health isn't even a huge deal. They don't want Akhty sitting in the minors all year.

Also at this point i still don't see this as a Rielly thing.

Is still the D at this point, and you know Chayka's first priority will be to try and ditch Carlo and add a dynamic RHD.

On the one hand, I think we all agree that not playing good players because of height is stupid, on the other hand fans are always too hyped for prospects... I don't think there's anything crazy about a team easing in young D-men, he played 61 games last year and is 24 years old. Starting G vs top 4 defender gives both teams something to dream on, with some risk built in both ways. Seems like a fair trade to me.

Leafs have goalie depth and needed a puck moving d, flyers have small d (heh) depth and needed a goalie.

Sometimes deals can make sense for both teams. If I'm a flyers fan though, I'm kicking myself a bit for not giving Andrae a bigger look and longer leash. We already know what Woll is. We know Andrae is an adequate bottom pair guy but he was never really given a chance to play higher up in the lineup. So the potential upside is larger on the Leafs side here.

Though it reminds me a bit of liljegren. Nerdies loved the guy but he's never really been a second pair d in the end. No lock that this guy is either.
 
I think it’s an overpay in the sense that Woll has some value and Andrae seems like the sort of guy who you find in the bargain bin, but I like what the trade represents, it presents the leafs with some legit upside and could be huge if they can sign him to a cap friendly deal with term and he pans out as a top 4 guy.

The pick is what is important here. There is someone that the Leafs like in that round.
