The thing is I probably wouldn't even flip Knies for Stenberg. If everyone has Stenberg as the clear #2, do we really believe Reid and Carels are anything close to locks? Or are we just intrigued cuz they're d. Definitely need and want more than just the 4. 20 makes me consider it, but even that.. eh not sure.

Lock as a #1? About as close as a top of the draft defensive prospect gets, yeah. I've been saying it for a bunch of weeks now, but I think the people who have Stenberg as the clear #2 in this draft are wrong and the two defenders are better picks at the 2-3. There just haven't been many defenders with their pre draft performance who didn't become #1 or elite #1 defenders.

It's the only reason I'd consider the 4 for Knies is that one or both could be available there. If they went 2-3 and the choice was to replace Knies with Stenberg or Malhotra. Nah, I'd pass.

The way things have gone over the past few days, anything is possible now.

I don't recall a crazier offseason...ever? This is for sure the most insanity in the days leading up to the draft in the history of the league. They don't even need to do July 1 anymore because all the UFAs are sold and signed before the draft. What exactly is Vegas waiting for with Andersson, since we know they can't sign him. Unless they're trying to dump one of their more expensive guys.

I will believe the craziest rumor now because GMs have either lost their heads, or the idiots of the bunch are somehow getting fully exposed.
