1. Leafs lose all 3 games
2. Panthers lose to the Rangers on Monday. Rangers then get 1 more point vs either Dallas or Tampa.
3. Seattle gets 1 point in their final 4 games (Calgary, la, Vegas, col)

If this happens it's 4th last and an ~80% chance of them keeping their pick.
 
Florida is really bad though. I don’t see how you lose to them without sitting everyone.

Hanging on to Berube will turn out to be the right move.

After it was the wrong move, like 4 other obvious times this season. But whatever. Lose out and finish 4th from the bottom and all is forgiven. Get the fuck out, still, obviously. But no grudges will be held.
 
I'm still bitter about that fucking comeback vs LA. What a stupid fucking worthless point to have gotten.

Knies still playing is absolutely wild. I can kind of get not wanting to look like you are full on tanking when your pick is top 5 protected, especially because the league hates us. But the guy is legitimately injured. Even if it can't get worse like he's said...why not get a head start on recovery so you can train properly in the off season? The shit makes zero sense.

That and send Cowan down already. You want him to join the Marlies group ahead of the playoff run. Last thing we need is youthful energy from a guy trying to prove himself fucking up the tank.
 
My favorite was when the leafs finished last in 15-16. Between Bernier and Reimer that year, they had some pretty solid goaltending but in the last month of the season they decided to play the shit out of the worst goalie known to man, Garrett Sparks, to seal last place. And they needed it. They just barely got last place. Garrett was an enormous part of this.
