Playoff GDT | Game #5 | at Lightning | Wednesday, April 29th 2026 7:00 PM EST

Goaltending was supposed to be a huge advantage for Bolts and their Vézina candidate. Dobes holding serve is great.

Yesterday showed elements we’ve waited for all year. Once we took the lead in the 3rd, Tampa had a hard time getting anything going. We spent a lot of time defending in their zone, not ours, until the 5 on 6, which was another problem all year but last night we kept all their late game chances to the outside while we successfully boxed out the crease and let Dobes see everything

Honestly, I don’t remember a better defensive period all year. Against a top 5 offense, no less

was great seeing Slaf out there blocking shots....shows how mature his game has become, and how much coaches trust him
 
I was looking at Kuch’s playoff stats — only 2 goals in his last 4 playoffs. That’s 21 games.

I never said he'll never perform in the playoffs.....i said you can't teach a player to ''not be afraid of getting hit''....so until he gets his 2C, he'll most probably won't play to his regular season level.

Nice of you to deform what i said....big difference between someone will never perform in playoffs, and someone needing that 2C to be effective.
