Like…do they not realize that the Tree/Broob Grittensity era gave us the first season of the Auston Matthews era where this team missed the playoffs?

And the only playoff series win was against an Ottawa team that was handily swept in the first round this year?

How exactly does that equal the previous regime prioritizing playoff success?

It is, kinda.

But people like him do Infact have a significant impact on the narratives surrounding this team and those things do have a real world impact on who is willing to play here, for how much, etc.

The circus makes everything more difficult and muppets like Pronman all play a role in it being a circus
 
So it seems like the evolving media narrative today is that the Oilers are a coach away from another trip to the finals whereas the Leafs are a dumpster fire?
