Playoff GDT | ECF | Game #4 | 5/27/26 8PM EST (Canes vs Habs)

MSL will get fired when he's the bottleneck. Right now the roster is riddled with issues. That's summer work

When you have to rely on Danault, Bolduc or Dach to score because you lack second line depth, you know that you're in trouble.
disagree

Your bottom 6 is typically the difference between playoff success , you need these success stories

Your fucked when your top line cant score

Disappointed as I am I’m not down. We were flawed defensively all year. Things went our way for a couple even though we weren’t great. Proud of what we accomplished and hoping for more next year.
how can you be flawed defensively when your top 4 is comprised of Hutson-Dobson-Guhle-Matheson ?

If we're flawed, imagine 95% of the teams in the league.....our top 4 is pretty good, we shouldn't be flawed (unless forwards are not executing the system in coming back to help)...but that's not on the dmen

I am not saying we don’t have good players back there. Maybe it’s too much of some style. We were 16 th defensively and 18th on pk.

Our top 4 is the best in the league , teams would kill for that group with that cap

I agree. We need one shutdown type D, and a better partner for Lane (which I assume will be Reinbacher as soon as next season). We also need a 2C and more sandpaper up front next year.

some of that was on the goalies for sure.

I think the last night was the first game we lost in regulation when we had .900+ goaltending

Yup, I am surprised by some of the response on here in regards to lines 1 and 2. It happens every playoff, top lines get shut down and secondary scorers become the hero. In the playoffs size does matter, Cole and Lane are finding that out, having said that, I think both will still figure it out, just not this playoff run. Off season we need a winger and center for 93.

there is getting shut down and there is getting completely caved, which is what is happening to Suzuki with alarming frequency. Invisible unless it's a power play. They'll be better next year but it's been ugly

Something to chew on... Three of those guys have excellent mobility but maybe don't make the best decisions moving the puck in the D zone. Or we don't have the best system. That became more than obvious in the Canes series.

if you listen to what Huston and Matheson have said, they're basically saying they feel phantom pressure even when it's not really there. They ae panicking even when they have time and space

getting pounded and fatigued does that to you, our forwards are also not helping but making dumb plays near the blue line which sends it back behind the net

The Hurricanes often hit well after the puck is gone, we turn away. Almost worth a late penalty to get in a hard hit.

When you think though, we were 1 inch away from being up 2-1, their first goal last night was an inch onside

Habs are missing a McDonough type and an Arber crusher that can play more than 10 minutes

Lane needs a RHS partner and hope its Reino even with growing pains
