2026 NHL UFA/Trade Thread

I’m positive Hage would need to be involved. Plus more. Again, he fits perfectly with skill, age, cap hit… so you have to pay to get.

Where XXXX is a power forward type like Knies. Heck even Brady Tkachuk. So stupid taking KK over him or Hughes. Just dumb.
 
Thomas will be very expensive. But that’s OK, he would have a transformative impact on the line up.

Pick at 29 ain’t super valuable, so we may need to add another real player rather than a filler.
 
Thomas is younger AND better defensively than Barzal

I’m still skeptical he’s available

It’s a little bit like us trading Suzuki at the start of our rebuild. I know Thomas is older at the same stage but still young enough, not expensive… and a rebuild needs some structural pieces around it

Oh for sure. Might need 2 firsts. I think I still do it. Really tired of not having a bonafide 2C. Heck with Thomas we may be able to create two first lines. 1A & 1B.

I think that's close. I also think Blues won't do it.

I would demand one difference maker back.

We'd be trading 3 prospects/picks and #5 dman who gets injured every year. sweet deal for us!

Unfortunately, other teams covet Thomas. Like 2/3 of the league.

We only need to have the better offer. Not that many teams can rival our assets pool. Depends what interest the Blues outside of our untouchables.
