What are they gonna do now ? Tell Gutter he is only worth 10 after paying Leo $18M?

Anaheim is cooked they can’t afford both and a half decent D.
 
The Carlsson offer sheet makes me like the Demidov contract even more.
If Carlsson's going to get $18 million and Demidov signs for less than $10 million, that's a slick piece of business by Hughes.
 
Wish the Habs would do something like this for a center. Maybe not 18m but fuck the picks if it’s a rising stud.

Now what will SJ have to pay Celebrini?
 
Everyone credits Hughes for these team friendly contracts but at least half the credit should go to the players — they are fully aware how much money they’re leaving on the table… But they’re signing anyway because they want to be part of a cup championship team

Unfortunately Gauthier isn’t eligible for an offer sheet
 
Time for HuGo to strike on Robertson 5yrs @ $14M w $59M paid in bonuses

Or better yet just be an asshole and offer up 1yr @ $14M ($9M in bonus) walking him into UFA

Sal....how does bonuses work for teams like Habs ?

In terms of taxes.....are bonuses taxed less, hence why Canadian teams can offer them to players ???
