Man, that brought back some memories.

1974, had a black with red interior '63 Mercury Meteor S-33 with an underdash 8-Track player and Bass 48 speakers on the rear deck blasting Foghat, ZZ Top, Grand Funk Railroad, Steppenwolf, Zepplin, Deep Purple, Stones, etc., etc.

Thought I had the world by the ass... Hell, I did have the world by the ass now that I think about it.

Have driven the route a few times, n <=> s & s <=> n, but have only done SF to Mendo on public transpo. Mendo's jitney was pretty cool, plus gorgeous scenery and excellent driver. 😊
