OT: American Politics

And I’m sure it comes with a lot of conditions.

Better to have higher, sustained taxes to provide public goods without private conditions.

It’s a public good. Not a Phil Knight vanity play.

The bigger, unspoken issue is velocity imo. That billion has basically sat doing little to nothing for years. The arguement that the VC class has made for about landlocked investment dollars driving wealth creation has turned out to be at best misguided and at worst a strategic lie.

So instead of that money circulating the broader economy and providing utility for thousands of people, it has sat and waited to be dropped on a public university that shouldn't need it in an equitable system.
