What a stupid, stupid move. Why destroy yourself with the fanbase like that? I figure he thinks they're dragging their feet and holding out for unrealistic returns, but shit, what is the rush? Play and pressure behind the scenes. This is Marner level idiocy. But they probably saw Helle get traded and want to force a move out asap. What a shithead.

This move doesn’t really have any impact when it comes to the fanbase. They already well and truly despised him even before he made this latest stupid decision.
 
Reality: Cole Huston was never a choice

Habs picked Hage at 21. They didn't have another pick until #70. Cole Hutson went #43.
 
Meh, if they really wanted him they could have moved up. They have the assets. They didn’t really feel the need for the second Hutson.

Every team in the league needing a Huston also passed up a chance to draft Cole.

I heard the Habs had Cole ranked higher than 43 (where Caps drafted him). You don't put him near the top of your draft board if you have zero interest, but yeah, they could have moved up for him if they were super keen.
