OT: American Politics

https://www.axios.com/donald-trump-...ers-b036862c-7aaf-4fb8-b8d3-3724e15fd2c5.html

President Trump has sent highly unusual, Sharpie-written notes to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at least twice, Axios has learned.

One missive was so odd, the Canadian ambassador double-checked with the White House to be sure it wasn't a prank. In at least one instance, Trudeau also wrote to Trump. The exchange of handwritten notes, never before reported, was confirmed by several sources with firsthand knowledge.

The diplomatic missives include:

A torn-out Bloomberg Businessweek cover featuring a portrait of Justin Trudeau.
A back-and-forth about U.S.-Canada trade figures that culminated in Trudeau sending Trump a printout of the website of the Office of the United States Trade Representative with a smiley face beside the U.S. government figure showing America has a trade surplus with Canada (contrary to Trump's claims).....

Oh, and big props to the....65 yr old....who jacked up the Oslo shooter and beat the piss out of him when he tried to shoot up a mosque the other day. Claimed the Christchurch and El Paso manifestos as major inspirations. The one saving grace we all have is that these 8chan losers are mostly angry manlets.

Apparently he ended his last post online prior to the attempted shooting with "Valhalla awaits". I'm no expert in Norse mythology, but I'm pretty sure that getting disarmed and beat up by an unarmed senior citizen before you can hurt anyone and then taken into custody alive doesn't quite reach the criteria for a ticket to Valhalla.

These LARP'ers would be hilarious if they weren't managing to take innocent people with them a significant percentage of the time.

A few more facts on this fearsome Viking warrior:

  • Apparently he did actually kill one person. His teenage step-sister prior to the attach on the mosque.

  • Before being stopped, he fired multiple shots at two guys in the mosque but managed to miss them.

  • He resorted to eye-gouging when he couldn't break free from the 65 year-old man who tackled him to the ground.

Yeah, that's for sure. It's not really funny, especially since I don't think these attacks are going to stop anytime soon.

In today's episode of: **** all of this shit, seriously, **** it.

- There's a legit champion who has been documenting Epstein's island with a drone equipped with a HD camera since Epstein's arrest was announced. Rusty Shackleford on youtube for anyone who is interested. Well, sharp eyed viewers noted that in his earliest videos (July 17th) you can clearly see a large Mac computer sitting on the desk near a large window, but in his video from right before the FBI raided the island, the computer is missing from the desk. There is another night time video from the days between showing someone walking with a flashlight from the house to the dock. The video of the raid also shows a bunch of guys in NYPD gear. There was, for reasons not yet known, a couple of weeks between the arrest and the raid of the island.

- Somehow...****ing somehow, it appears that a post on 4chan was the first place on the internet where news of Epstein's death broke. It was on 4chan a full 38 minutes before it was announced by authorities.

- A Trump official is rewriting the poem at the base of the statue of liberty:

The head of Citizenship and Immigration Services tweaked the passage: "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free".

The official added the words "who can stand on their own two feet and who will not become a public charge".

It comes as Trump officials debuted a regulation that denies aid to migrants.

Ken Cuccinelli, the Trump administration's acting head of Citizenship and Immigration Services, announced on Monday a new "public charge" requirement that limits legal migrants from seeking certain public benefits such as public housing or food aid, or are considered likely to do so in the future.

and when questioned on it, the Trump appointee had this to say:

In the interview, he added that immigrants are welcome "who can stand on their own two feet, be self-sufficient, pull themselves up by their bootstraps, again, as in the American tradition".

Don'tcha love that a physical impossibility, that first entered the public lexicon making fun of politicians who lacked empathy towards the poor, has become a saying used exclusively (when not ironic) by people who neither understand the history...or the ****ing physics...of the phrase?

Cuccinelli: That statue of liberty poem was about "people coming from Europe."

Cuccinelli is in charge of immigration for the country, fyi.

The amount of scumbaggery to be named...Cuccinelli...and then shit all over the current generation of would be immigrants. ****ing incredible. It's using a ladder and then pulling it up behind you.

Not that I care much about hypocrisy anymore, but I’m sure Cuccinelli knows full well, of course, why the Klan marched in DC in the 20s.
