The REAL Standings

Ideally we’d play Montreal, get a series win under our belts, and then take that into a second round match up with Boston, if things could play out that way.

I for one would be glad for the leafs vs habs playoffs meet up talk to go away.

Crazy to think that Calgary's record is based on the "difficult" part of their schedule. This isn't a team to take lightly anymore.
 
well, it's also cuz their division sucks balls, and the conference isn't much better.
 
Yep. The took a pretty good team and added .920 goaltending, 2 ppg forwards, Gio decided to have a late career renaissance, and they added young puck movers to the bottom of their blue line instead of plugs.

Whether this is all sustainable going forward is a good question, but they sure look a lot better now.

smith is sub 900 and rittich is .911

well that's the thing - nobody really quite believes that any of those top-6 forwards other than johnny and maybe tkachuk are actually THAT good offensively.
 
It's an uphill battle, kids. Just be thankful it's not in Toronto where they don't clear the snow or ice.

It was just a couple weeks ago where Craig button was on the radio panicking that the leafs would miss the playoffs and saying that they should get Ben Lovejoy. Crickets now of course.


Muzzin has really improved their d even with hainsey and zait still being misused as ****.
