The last game outside the Eastern time zone.

After a miserable performance at home on Friday, the Canes righted the ship in Nashville on Saturday, beating Nashville 5-3. Aho picked up his 30th goal, becoming the 7th player in franchise history to do that before his 22nd birthday. Williams got his 20th, his 7th 20 goal season, becoming the 3rd player in franchise history to score 20 after turning 37. Niederreiter scored his 20th, his 4th in the last 5 years. Ferland didn’t travel, we’ll see if there are any line changes. No word on a morning skate.

The Avs are 6th in the Central with 72 points in 69 games. They’re 2 points behind Minnesota for the last wild card spot and 6-3-1 in their last 10. They’re coming off a 3-0 win over Buffalo on Saturday, Grubauer’s 2nd shutout in his last 3. Mikko Rantanen scored his 30th, hitting that for the first time in his career. MacKinnon had his 35th and assisted on the other 2 goals. They’re both in the top 10 in points, MacKinnon is 10th in goals, Rantanen is 8th in assists. They have 5 other players in double digits in goals but lost 3rd leading scorer, Gabriel Landeskog for 4 - 6 weeks. Varlamov has played 46 games in goal and carries a 2.84/.910 stat line. As noted, Grubauer is on a good run but his season numbers are 3.06/.900. The Avs PP is tied for 7th at 22.7% but their PK is bad, 28th at 77.3%

Fox Sports Carolinas for TV.

Just keep winning boys and we'll put some separation between us and our nearest rivals for a playoff spot.

That was such a great goal by Svech +Faulk and Turbo. That was world class stuff all around, just awesome!

Svech seals it with the empty netter!

Would have been a hatty if that first period goal hadn't been waved off...
