Canes ticket pricing

Thanks for sharing that. I suspect that this company also helped the Canes develop their premium pricing program and where to set those prices at.
 
I worked on this kind of stuff for 2 years. The goal is to figure out prices that will sell the most tickets and also bring in the most revenue. The airlines take this to the extreme because they are constantly changing prices for tickets. Stores do it as well when they price items.

Some of this uses math called linear programming , which has only been around since WW 2. (Most areas of math are hundreds of years old)

Here is my funny radio story: When the Police were really big (around 1983) a radio station in Knoxville launched a "petition drive" to invite the Police to play a show in Knoxville. The drive ended Dec 1st. What they did not count on was that MTV announced the Police tour on Nov 25th. Sure enough, a Knoxville date was on the tour!! So the radio station got caught in a big lie. They made things worse by denying they had prior knowledge of the tour dates.
