GDT #20: 21/11/22 - Game 300 for the Captain, vs the Isles, at the 1/4 Pole

All sorts of random reasons to want to win this game a bit more.

As we hit the game 20 mark, a win here probably launches us into 6th or 7th place in the league, which would shut up the talking heads nicely. If we could get a shutout it would be even nicer because it would probably get us up into the top-5 defenses too. A loss drops us down closer to the bubble and let's the talking heads all run their "GAME 20 UPDATE!!" articles they all have ready to click send on.

And of course Cap having a special game 300 vs the Isles would be nice too.

Of course, we had to put Kallgren in just to try and muck everything up.

I was shocked at how much hate that series had given there was 0 history between the 2 teams. that was so ugly. I'll never forget it.
Those punches Corson took to the face. Yikes.
 
not sure a win will actually stop some of the batshit hot takes i've seen lately (habs board is a real doozy rn) but it'd be nice to climb up to a 107 pt pace tonight despite the shit play to start and so many kallgren starts.
 
Man I remember when the Isles 4th lines were actually good. I always liked Cizikas but just when he wasn’t getting paid (he does have a real contract now, right?).
 
He's signed til he's 35 at 2.5 million.

I dunno why Lou locks up his whole bottom 6 til they're seniors like that, that'd drive me crazy.

Also cuz a good performance tonight could squeeze us up into the top 10 in most important categories and make my pretty little 20gm chart look much much bluer.
 
Maybe scoring a bunch against Buffalo gets them some momentum to fill the net again like they used to.

The offensive lull has gone on long enough.
 
I watched that live as it was happening. You could not believe how big a moment that was.
