The Ottawa Senators organization is in no way related to the Toronto Maple Leafs organization. Therefore, including geographically, they are not "brothers".

Geographically, the Buffalo Sabres are closer than the Ottawa Senators are.

The cities of Toronto and Ottawa obviously have relation. Geographically and culturally. Shit, Ottawa wouldn't exist if it wasn't for Toronto (and Montreal) with it's entire purpose being a political compromise between the two. Orders of magnitude more connection than Buffalo despite the difference in proximity.

By distance, Montreal is closer to Ottawa than Toronto is. So, Ottawa is more of a baby brother to Montreal than to Toronto
